Now this wasn’t in my food chart until I was in college. After seeing some commercial my mother decided that she is going to feed me almonds so that at least my bones will be strong enough. (She has osteoporosis)
And after that I started making it a habit to have soaked almonds first thing in the morning along with my green tea. Now my parents also eat a couple almonds every now and then. But later on, whenever I spot almonds they go into my mouth. Its a nice kind of snack I suppose.
More than nice it is healthy. But then I like it without that horrendous skin and raw. Never liked any dessert that had almond as a main ingredient in it. I have tried almond croissants, almond pastries and such. All were way too sweet and just don’t get well.
Just soak up a few almonds in water over night. Peel off that skin in the morning and pop it in your mouth. Start your day with a nice crunch!
